Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 18, 2026

App Name: AskDeen

Company: United Application Labs LLC

Contact: admin@unitedapplicationlabs.com

AskDeen is owned and operated by United Application Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use AskDeen, including our mobile application, website, products, content, features, and related services.

By using AskDeen, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information depending on how you use the app.

Information You Provide

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account login information
  • Preferences or settings
  • Religious preferences, such as Sunni, Shia, or other school or tradition preferences, if you choose to provide them
  • Questions, messages, chat history, answers, notes, reflections, or other content you enter into the app
  • Customer support messages
  • Feedback or survey responses
  • Donation related information, if applicable

App Usage Information

We may collect information about how you use the app, such as:

  • Features used
  • Pages or screens viewed
  • Session activity
  • Message limits or usage counts
  • Subscription or entitlement status
  • Crash reports
  • Performance data
  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Approximate location based on device or network information, if applicable

Location for Prayer Times and Qibla

If you grant location permission in the mobile app, your device location is used on your device to calculate local prayer times and the Qibla direction. This precise location is processed on-device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Reverse geocoding (turning coordinates into a city name) may be performed by your device's operating system services (Apple or Google). You can use a manually searched city instead, and you can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

Payment, Donation, and Subscription Information

If AskDeen offers paid features, subscriptions, in app purchases, or donation options, payments may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat, or another payment provider.

We do not directly store your full credit card number. Payment providers may share limited information with us, such as subscription status, purchase history, transaction identifiers, donation status, or entitlement information.

AI or Chat Based Features

AskDeen may include AI powered chat, recommendations, explanations, or educational guidance features. The text you submit may be processed by third party AI service providers to generate responses.

You should not submit sensitive personal information, medical information, financial information, passwords, confidential information, or information about another person unless the app specifically tells you that such information is supported and protected.

Personal Tools and Device Sync

When you are signed in, your fasting log, prayer settings (never your location), reminder choices, tasbih counts, Names progress, and zakat-year entries are stored with your account to sync between devices. Deleting your account deletes this synced data. When you are signed out, this data stays on your device. City search sends only the city name you type to Open-Meteo.

If you turn on “Use my AskDeen activity in answers”, a short summary of counts from your synced data is sent with your questions to the AI service: fasts to make up, your dhikr streak, Names learned, and whether a zakat date is set. This summary never includes your location or financial amounts. This feature is off by default and can be turned off in Preferences.

2. Sensitive Information

AskDeen may involve questions about religion, personal beliefs, family, relationships, mental health, grief, guilt, identity, morality, and other sensitive topics.

You are not required to provide sensitive information to use AskDeen. If you choose to share sensitive information, we may process it only as needed to provide the app, respond to your requests, improve safety, maintain app functionality, comply with law, or protect users and others.
